  • 2 cups makhana fox nuts
  • 1 tsp ghee or olive oil
  • ½ tsp turmeric
  • ½ tsp red chilli powder
  • ½ tsp black salt
  • ½ tsp chaat masala
  • ½ tsp black pepper

  • Heat ghee in a pan.
  • Add makhana and roast for 6–8 minutes until crisp.
  • Add turmeric, chilli powder, pepper, and black salt.
  • Mix until all makhana is evenly coated.
  • Switch off heat and sprinkle chaat masala.
  • Cool completely and store in an airtight jar.

NOTES

  • Add curry leaves for aroma.
  • Use peri-peri or garlic powder for variations.
